Join the Siri AI waiting list in Settings
Installing iOS 27 does not automatically turn on Siri AI. You need to join the Siri AI beta waiting list from your iPhone settings, then wait for Apple to enable it for your device.
The setup only takes a minute. The part that can take longer is the approval period. After you join, Siri AI may become available within a few hours, or it may take a couple of days.

How to get Siri AI on your iPhone
Start by confirming that your iPhone is running iOS 27. The Siri AI option shown here appears after the update is installed. If you have not updated yet, complete that first, then return to the Settings app.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down until you find Siri, then select it.
- Select Try Siri AI beta.
- Select Join waiting list.
- Select Continue to confirm.
- Choose whether you want to send analytical data to Apple. Select Not Now if you do not want to send it at this time.
After these steps, the Siri settings screen should show that you are on the waiting list for Siri AI. There is no additional switch shown in this setup process that forces immediate access. Apple needs to enable the beta after you join.
What happens after you join
Seeing the waiting-list status means your request was submitted. It does not mean Siri AI is active yet. Give it time, since the availability window can be a few hours or a few days.
Once Siri AI is enabled, a new Siri app appears on your iPhone Home Screen. That new app is the clear sign that access has been added. You can then begin using the upgraded Siri experience.
The new Siri AI is designed for more natural conversations, help with information on your screen, and actions across apps. You do not need to keep checking the Try Siri AI beta page while you wait. Check your Home Screen for the new Siri app after some time has passed.
If Siri AI is not showing up
First, make sure you completed the waiting-list request. Go back to Settings, select Siri, and look for Try Siri AI beta. If the page indicates that you are on the waiting list, your request is already in place.
Next, wait before assuming something went wrong. The approval period is not instant for every iPhone. A missing Siri app shortly after joining the list can simply mean that Siri AI has not been enabled for you yet.
If you do not see Try Siri AI beta in the Siri settings, verify that iOS 27 is installed. The option is part of the iOS 27 process shown here. The video does not list specific compatible iPhone models, so do not rely on an unconfirmed model list when checking eligibility. The most useful check is whether the Siri AI beta option appears in your own Settings app after updating.
Also keep in mind that joining the waiting list and receiving access are separate steps. You can successfully select Join waiting list, choose Continue, and still need to wait before the new Siri app is added.
