How to adjust your Backlight Timeout settings on your Garmin Forerunner 45:
- Long-press the Up button to open the Menu.
- Select System.
- Scroll down and select Backlight.
- Select between During and Not During Activity (I recommend repeating this so you adjust your settings for both).
- Adjust the Backlight settings for Keys, Gesture, and also Timeout. I suggest setting your Timeout to 8 seconds.
