Turning off Google Assistant is easy and can be done in minutes in your phone settings. This tutorial can turn off Google Assistant for any Android phone including Samsung, Pixel, Moto, HTC, OnePlus, Huawei, Alcatel, Asus, Nubia, Blu, Acer, Cubot, LG, Lenovo, Nokia, and ZTE.

Follow the steps below to Turn Off Google Assistant on Android:

  1. Open the settings on your Android device.
  2. Find and select Apps and Notifications.
  3. Select Assistant.
  4. In Assistant, select Say “Hey Google”.
  5. Toggle off the first option which is labeled Google Assistant.
  6. You have now turned off Google Assistant on your Android phone or tablet.

Follow the steps below to stop Google Assistant from Popping up:

  1. Open the settings on your Android device.
  2. Find and select Apps and Notifications.
  3. In App and Notifications, select advanced.
  4. Select Default apps.
  5. In default apps, select Digital Assistant app.
  6. Select the default digital assistant app. Most likely this will be Google Assistant.
  7. Select None. You can now close the settings.
  8. You have now turned off Google Assistant and stopped it from popping up in the future.
