Install Roblox Studio from the official Roblox site
Roblox Studio installs from the Roblox Creator website. On a Windows 11 or Windows 10 laptop or PC, open a web browser and go to create.roblox.com. This is the starting point used to get the Roblox Studio installer.
The site checks whether Roblox Studio is already on your computer after you choose the creation option. If Studio is not installed, it gives you the download option you need. Save the installer, run it from your Downloads folder, then sign in when Roblox Studio opens.

Download and install Roblox Studio
-
Open your preferred web browser on your Windows computer. Navigate to create.roblox.com.
-
Locate Start Creating on the Roblox Creator site and select it. Roblox checks your PC for Roblox Studio.
-
If Roblox Studio is not already installed, select Download Studio. Save the Roblox Studio installer to your computer when your browser asks where to put the file.
-
Open your computer’s Downloads folder after the download finishes. Find the Roblox Studio installer you just saved and open it.
-
Let the installer start the installation process. Roblox Studio opens shortly after the installation completes.
-
Sign in if Roblox Studio asks you to do so. Use your Roblox account to continue into Studio.
Start your first experience
After you sign in, Roblox Studio gives you a couple of ways to begin. Select New Experience to start creating an experience. You can also choose one of the available templates if you want a starting layout instead of beginning with a blank project.
Templates are useful when you want to see a prepared starting point in Studio. A new experience is the option to use when you want to begin your own project from the start. Pick the option that matches what you want to make first.
At this point, Roblox Studio is installed and open on your Windows laptop or desktop. You can begin working in Studio to make Roblox games and experiences.
If you do not see the download option
Selecting Start Creating prompts the Roblox site to check for Roblox Studio. If the site recognizes that Studio is already installed, it may not show Download Studio. In that case, you do not need to download another installer through that prompt.
If you expected to download Studio but cannot locate the installer afterward, check the Downloads folder. The tutorial saves the Roblox Studio installer there before opening it. Your browser may also show recent downloads, which can help you confirm that the file finished downloading.
Make sure you open the Roblox Studio installer itself, not just the Downloads folder. Opening the installer is what begins the installation process and leads to Roblox Studio opening on your computer.
What to check before you begin creating
When Roblox Studio opens, check whether it asks you to sign in. Signing in is the next step shown after installation, so complete that prompt before trying to create an experience. Once you are signed in, use New Experience or select a template from the options displayed in Studio.
You do not need to search for a separate program after the install process completes. The Roblox Studio installer opens Studio as part of the process shown here. From there, you can move directly into the creation choices instead of returning to the Roblox Creator website.
Keep the installer in your Downloads folder until you have confirmed that Roblox Studio opens successfully. Then, when Studio launches and you can reach the sign-in or creation screen, you are ready to start building.
