Follow the steps below to turn on 2 step verification on Gmail:
- Navigate to https://security.google.com and login to your account.
- Scroll down and select 2-step verification.
- Turn on your desired method of 2FA, this can be either a prompt on your phone, sms text, authenticator app, or sms test.
- Setup your backup method for 2 factor authentication, this can be either SMS text or backup codes.
