Follow the steps below to get better GPS signal on your Garmin Smartwatch:

  1. Ensure you are outside, in an open area, away from tall buildings and trees. If needed, remain stationary for a few minutes.
  2. Sync the device to your Garmin Connect account via the Garmin Connect app on your phone (Android or iOS) or PC. You can also sync by setting up WiFi on your Garmin Watch. Syncing with Garmin Connect downloads several days of satellite data, allowing it to quickly locate satellite signals.
  3. Ensure your watch is configured to use GPS + GLONASS or GPS + GALILEO not GPS only. This will make the sync faster and improve the signal in environments with a lot of trees or buildings.
