You can delete your Netflix account from the Netflix mobile app. The account option is located under My Netflix, and Netflix asks you to verify your identity before it completes the deletion.
These steps apply to the Netflix app on an iPhone, Android phone, or Samsung phone. You will need access to either the email address or phone number connected to the account, or the payment method used for Netflix.

Delete your Netflix account in the app
- Open the Netflix app on your phone.
- Select My Netflix in the bottom menu.
- Select the small arrow next to your name in the top-left corner.
- Select Account.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Account page.
- Select Delete account.
At this point, Netflix will ask you to confirm that you are the account owner. This verification step is required before the account can be deleted.
Verify your identity
Netflix gives you two ways to confirm your identity during the deletion process. You can enter a code sent to your email address or phone number. You can also verify the payment method on the account.
If you choose the payment-method option, enter the credit card number requested by Netflix and select Submit. Use the details associated with the Netflix account you are deleting.
After your identity is confirmed, Netflix displays one final confirmation prompt. Review the prompt carefully, then confirm that you want to delete the account. Once you confirm, the Netflix account is permanently deleted.
What to check before the final confirmation
The final confirmation is the point where you should pause and make sure you are deleting the correct account. Check the name shown in My Netflix before opening the Account page, especially if more than one person uses the same phone.
Also make sure you can complete one of the available identity checks. If you plan to use an email or phone code, you need access to that inbox or phone number. If you plan to verify with your payment method, have the card details ready before starting.
The option shown in these steps is Delete account. It is the account-level action in Netflix, not a separate option for removing an individual profile. Use this process only when you want to permanently close the Netflix account.
If you cannot find Delete account
Start from the main Netflix app screen and go back through the same path: My Netflix, the arrow next to your name, then Account. The Delete account option is at the bottom of the Account page, so keep scrolling until you reach the end.
If Netflix asks for verification and you do not have the required code or payment information, stop at that screen until you can access the correct details. The app requires identity confirmation before it allows permanent account deletion.
