This can be useful if the heart rate monitoring is not working or if you would like to extend the battery life of your Garmin Instinct 2.

Follow the steps below to turn on or off HR monitor on the Garmin Instinct 2:
- Hold the menu button to open the menu
- Once the menu opens, scroll down and select Settings
- Once Settings open, scroll and select Sensors & Accessories
- In the Sensors & Accessories settings, select Wrist Heart Rate
- To turn on and off the heart rate monitoring on your Garmin Instinct 2, toggle the Wrist HR switch.
