SIZE AND MAKE:
The first thing you notice about the Tacklife Digital Anemometer is the size. This anemometer is very small and perfect for holding in your hand and using on-the-go. The size is 4.5 inches tall, 1.5 inches wide, and .6 inches thick. This makes the DA01 easy to bring with you on a trip or even in a small space to take a measurement. It also includes a strap for your hand so you don’t drop it. The plastic on the Tacklife Digital Anemometer has a very sturdy and light feel to it. It feels like it could survive a small fall. Additionally, the device came with a very nice rubber case. The rubber case seem protective and provides more grid when holding the device.
SCREEN:
The screen on the Tacklife Digital Anemometer is AWESOME! First and foremost it has been well designed to show a lot of useful information, most importantly you can see the wind speed and temperature. The screen is extremely easy to read and the text is large enough to see from a good distance. The Tacklife Digital Anemometer also features a backlit screen. This is crucial for a device like this as it allows it to be used in dark areas such as a basement, crawl space, or even at night.
FEATURES:
The Tacklife Digital Anemometer takes two main measurements wind speed and temperature. By detecting the wind speed it is able to tell you the speed in meters per second(m/s), kilometers per hour(Km/h) , feet per minute(ft/min) , knots, and miles per hour(mph). Additionally, the DA01 Digital Anemometer will calculate the average wind speed and max wind speed. The wind temperature measurement can be displayed in both Fahrenheit and Celsius.
MEASUREMENTS:
The accuracy of the wind speed measurements made by the DA01 seem to be pretty accurate. While I do not have another device to compare it to, the measurements seem to react quickly to changes in wind speed and were consistent. I tested the DA01 in several situation and I believe it is accurate.
